Privacy Policy

Ruckus is an event management platform built by Stormforge Solutions LLC. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English because a privacy policy should be readable.

What we collect

• Profile information: your name (including maiden name if you choose to provide it), email, phone number, mailing address, display name, avatar photo, and links to your social media profiles.
• Event activity: which events you RSVP to, your attendance status, ticket selections, guest counts, and any notes you or the organizer add to your record.
• Payment information: when you pay for a ticket, your card details go directly to our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your raw card numbers. We keep a record of the transaction amount, status, and timestamp.
• Content you upload: photos, videos, comments, and other media you post to an event page.
• Basic traffic data: page views, device type, and approximate location, via Cloudflare Web Analytics and PostHog product analytics. This is aggregated and we do not sell it.

How we use it

• Running your event: matching you to the correct event, showing your RSVP and payment status to the organizer, delivering the content you signed up for.
• Communications you opted into: event reminders, updates from organizers, invitations to events you have been added to. You control your email and SMS preferences from your profile page. Marketing email is off by default.
• Payment processing: forwarding your payment to Stripe or the chosen provider, recording the result for the organizer, sending you a receipt.
• Platform security and fraud prevention: detecting abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.

Who we share with

• Event organizers -- their event only. The organizer of an event you join sees your profile data and your RSVP/payment status for that event. Organizers do not see your data for other events you belong to.
• Payment processors. Stripe, PayPal, Square (and any other processor we add) receive the data they need to move your payment through their system. Their own privacy policies apply to that data.
• Infrastructure providers. We run on AWS (compute, database, storage) and Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, email routing). These providers store data on our behalf under their security and privacy terms.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run targeted ads against it. Ruckus is a paid product for organizers, not an ad-supported one.

Deletion and data access

You can request deletion of your Ruckus account and personal data at any time by emailing robb@stormforgesolutions.com. We will remove your profile, your uploaded media, and your account access within 30 days of your request.

Records we are legally required to keep (payment transaction logs for tax and chargeback purposes, for example) may be retained for the duration required by law, with personal identifiers scrubbed where possible.

You can also request a copy of the data we hold about you. We will send it in a machine-readable format within 30 days.

Age restriction (COPPA)

Ruckus is for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will also be announced on the event pages of active customers.
